One of the Calls to Action of the 2013 Congregational Chapter of the Sisters of St. Joseph states that "We believe that the mission of Jesus calls us to : Collaboration with others for Justice."
In response to that call and in an on-going effort to end Human Trafficking, the Sisters and O’hana from the Vice Province of Hawaii participated in an educational presentation by Kandice Johns from Ho’ole Na Pua Group regarding Human Trafficking in Hawaii. The Ho'ole’Na Pua Group provides education and treatment for female children through adulthood who seek to be rehabilitated from prostitution.

Wednesday, October 30, 2014, thirty-one US Federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) interest group coordinators gathered in St. Paul, MN. S. Judy Vaughan will be honored as one of ten inspirational women in California. The California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls are launching a new YouTube channel by premiering the first 10 videos about California women who were identified as amazing and inspiring. The premier of these stories will take place at a reception in the Capitol Mall in Sacramento on March 3, 2014. Judy Vaughan, CSJ is one of the women who will be featured.

ST. LOUIS, MO: The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet affirmed its new leadership team on Saturday, January 11 at a ceremony at the province motherhouse St. Louis.
The new Congregational Leadership Team members are Sisters Danielle Bonetti and Miriam Ukeritis from the Albany province; Sister Barbara Drehe rfrom the St. Louis province; Sister Mary McKay from the Los Angeles province; and Sister Mary Ann Leininger (who served in the Vice Province of Peru).
The team was selected in July at the Congregational Chapter held in Los Angeles. More than 125 attendees from the congregation’s provinces of Albany, Los Angeles, St. Louis and St. Paul, as well as from the vice-provinces of Hawaii and Peru participated.

Sister Danielle Bonetti, the driving force behind the establishment of a homeless shelter in Amsterdam, N.Y., was featured in The Amsterdam Recorder. In her honor the house was named Danielle House.
